Ulrik Haagerup is Founder & CEO of Constructive Institute located on campus at Aarhus University. He has had a long and distinguished career in broadcasting, starting as a journalist at the Danish School of Journalism in 1986. He was an Investigative reporter and senior managing editor at Jyllands-Posten from 1986-1994. He then became the Editor-in-chief at Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten 1994-2002 and Editor-in-chief at NORDJYSKE Media 2002-2007. Before starting up the Constructive Institute he was Executive Director of News, Danish Broadcasting, DR from 2007-2017. 

His resume also includes; John S. Knight Fellow at Stanford University, USA, 1991-92 and courses at INSEAD, IMD, Stanford Research Institute and Wharton University. His is a Member of World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on the Future of Journalism and won the Cavling Prize in 1990. Haagerup is the author of “A Good Idea – Did You Get It?” (2005) and “Constructive News” (2014). He is the member of numerous Boards and former chairman of Center of Journalism at the University of Southern Denmark 2002-2008 and an international public speaker on leadership, innovation and strategy.
