Paula Szuchman is Vice President of On-Demand Content at WNYC and WNYC Studios. She’s responsible for developing new podcasts and growing the audience and reach of WNYC’s expanding portfolio. She created WNYC’s first Podcast Accelerator to source new talent, and launched the chart-topping podcasts Nancy, 2 Dope Queens and Sooo Many White Guys. Paula also oversees WNYC’s Note to Self podcast and its annual women’s podcasting festival, WERK IT, as well as the station’s social media department and award-winning multimedia production unit.

Prior to joining WNYC, Paula was the managing editor of The Daily Beast and a page one editor at The Wall Street Journal, where her career as a reporter and editor spanned nearly a decade.

She is the co-author of Spousonomics: Using Economics to Master Love, Marriage and Dirty Dishes.
