Abrams is dedicated to changing the future of media through journalistic practice and human-centered design. Abrams was previously a Google News Lab fellow and associate producer at Matter Ventures, a design thinking accelerator for media startups. A former staff writer at Salon, her work has also appeared in The Atlantic and The New York Times. Abrams received her Masters degree in digital-first journalism from New York University.


The PRX training team works to support podcast development, particularly for underrepresented voices in the United States and around the world. In 2019, PRX ran the Google Podcasts creator program, training early-stage podcasters across the United States, Brazil, Spain, India, Lebanon, Colombia, Chile and Kenya as well as releasing a free ten-part series of educational Podcasting 101 videos translated into multiple languages. 


PRX is a non-profit media organization specializing in audio journalism and storytelling.
