Laura Romero
Audiomaker and Researcher

Audio-maker, voice-over, professor and researcher. She has lived in France, Spain and Colombia, where she worked for media as Onda Cero, Mediaset, Cadena SER or Radio en Construction. She has given specialised workshops on sound documentary and radioart in many universities as Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Uniminuto in Bogotá, Universidad Jaume I in Castellon and Cardenal Herrera University. She holds a PhD in Communication (2017) and earned the First Prize of the International Radio Contest in Montréal (2016). Supporter of RadioDoc Review (University of Wollongong, Australia) and SONODOC in Latin America (Foro de Documental Sonoro en Español). She is the founder of the first Spanish online review of radioart She has written papers about contemporary radio and new narratives and disseminate sound works for almost 10 years. Nowadays, she is developing her own independent documentaries and works for the daily music radio show Territori Sonor on À Punt Media (the Valencian public radio corporation).
