Alison Winter is Head of Audiences for BBC Radio and Music – a role that involves overseeing all audience research needs across the BBC’s UK radio services as well as its multiplatform music offer.  While at the BBC, Alison has also acted as Head of Audiences for BBC North (comprising Children, Knowledge and Learning and Sport) and, more recently, as Head of Audiences for BBC Digital.  She has also worked as Research Manager for almost all of the BBC’s UK radio stations and, before that, spent nine years working for Commercial Radio as Head of Audience Insight at trade association RadioCentre.

 

Alison is a RAJAR Board Director and was recently made a Fellow of the UK Radio Academy.
