Radiodays Europe is running a project, sponsored by David Systems, Swedish Radio and Radiodays Europe, to help young radio professionals come to Amsterdam 2017 to share ideas, network and develop their future careers in radio. If you want to apply to become a NextGener, please keep reading… 


If you want to become a NextGener at Radiodays Europe 2017 you need to do two things:

To enter RDE NextGen you must upload a video to your own Youtube page telling us what you think the future of radio should look like? Videos must be no longer than 1 minute. Videos can include music, interviews or any format - be as creative as you can.

Your video should include information on:

  • What do you think the future of radio should look like? (new formats, ideas, technologies etc)

Please remember to clearly state your name at the start of the video.

Terms and conditions

1. Your video may be used during the RDE event 2017 and as part of your submission you give us permission to use them once they are emailed to

2. Any videos longer than 1 minute will not be accepted.

3. As the judging panel will be made up of international members, all videos should be in English or in Dutch (as the host country 2017)

4. All of the videos will be judged by the RDE NextGen Panel, winners of places will be contacted directly. If you do not get through please try again next year! RDE reserves the right to choose the final participants in this project.

5. Entrants must be 18-30 years old and be working in the radio business in Europe at the time of entry.

6. You must hold a valid passport for travel and be able to attend Radiodays Europe 2017

7. All video entries must be received by Tuesday 14th February 2017 which is the closing date for judging.

9. If you are senior manager or a hugely successful young person in radio already, please DO NOT enter this competition. It is open to those who are still trying to make it and would have no opportunity to attend RDE. If you are unsure, please email

10. If you win a place as a RDE NextGener and accept your place, including bookings for travel and accommodation, if you do not attend you will be liable for the cost of the sponsorship unless you can prove extraordinary circumstances.
