What should traditional legacy media learn from and fear from Silicon Valley? Naja Nielsen, Head of News at Danish Broadcasting, spent five months as Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in the middle of the Bay Area, where most of the media revolution is invented. She will talk about Journalism in the Digital Age and give her take on what classic media can and should do.
Naja Nielsen is a trained journalist and Head of News at the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR).
She has worked with Radio, TV and digital formats as both a reporter, anchor and editor.
For the past 10 years she has been part of the editorial and administrative management in the News department at DR.
Since Naja started in DR in 1995, she has among other things spearheaded all national elections for DR since 2007. She has been head of the main TV news show “TV Avisen” from 2010-2015 and has since 2015 been head of the innovation-unit in the News department at DR.
In 2014 Naja was a visiting scholar at Stanford University in California, where she started studied what traditional legacy media should learn from and fear from Silicon Valley.
