Keld Nielsen holds a Master in Electronic Engineering from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and a Master in NLP

He started his career in European Space Agency (ESA) working out of Australia, designing and developing high frequency electronics for the European Space programme. He thereafter switched to High-rise constructions in Sydney, Australia and finally, before joining the Media Research industry in 1991, he worked a few years in the Cable-TV industry in Sweden.

Keld joined Gallup Denmark (Gallup became a part of TNS in 1997) in 1991 and was responsible for setting up the first Danish PeopleMeter panel. Keld was up until 2008 responsible for the Danish Television (based on fixed PeopleMeters) and Radio Audience Measurements (based on Portable PeopleMeters –PPM’s) systems and the Media Intelligence department and was member of the board of directors in TNS Gallup.

Keld joined TNS Media Research in London in May 2008 and has the global responsibility of maintaining the present TNS Media Research businesses and building new businesses as Global Business Development Director.
