Can music radio handle Spotify? (Steve Pratt, Ken Benson, Martin Liss and Lars Trillingsgaard)
"Good music" used to be what motivated people to choose a particular radio station. But today you have access to your own personalized music mix wherever and whenever you want, from web services like Spotify, LastFM and Pandora as well as from iPods or mobile phones packed with large music libraries.
In this session, three music radio programmers will discuss how to face the challenge. They will cover the pros and cons of music formatting as well as creative ways of combining broadcasting and web-based activities.
Steve Pratt, Director of CBC Radio 3, Canada, Ken Benson, International Licensing Manager for Sparknet and JackFM and Martin Liss, Head of ENERGY Berlin, Germany and Lars Tillingsgaard, Head of Music P3 DR, Denmark.
