RDE Next Generation
The RDE Next Gen Project, encouraging the next generation of radio super stars!
Information for organisations looking to sponsor a NextGener
NextGen aims to support new talent working in the broadcast sector across Europe. We partner with broadcasters and broadcast groups to sponsor young broadcast professionals to come to Radiodays Europe to share ideas, network and develop their future careers in radio. The first NextGen took place in 2016 at the Paris conference, where we had six NextGeners, sponsored by ReelWorld Europe, Swedish Radio and Radiodays Europe.
Benefits of NextGen for young people:
NextGen offers candidates an opportunity to broaden their experience, spark fresh ideas and innovative practices, and network with other media professionals.
Benefits of sponsoring a NextGener:
- Promote yourself as a NextGen partner
- Judge the NextGen applicants
- Meet talented young people excited to work in the radio industry
- Be part of a workshop run specifically for the NextGeners
- Speak during the NextGen session at Radiodays Europe
Three ways organisations can get involved:
- Sponsor NextGener to come to Radiodays Europe
- Suggest individuals to apply for NextGen
- Be part of the judging panel for NextGen applications
Radiodays Europe is also committed to promoting this scheme through our digital and social channels.

When Next Geners attend the Radiodays Europe conference they will be engaged in a series of workshops, networking events, social media activities and evening events, as well as the main Radiodays Europe event. If you are applying to be a 'Next Gener' please read the 'Rules & Regulations' about joining this initiative.
Travel, entry and exposure:
RDE Next Gen is open to all young people who currently work in radio. The project will cover the cost of travel, accommodation and entry into RDE for the Next Gener. Sponsorship: € 1'500.00 (each company may sponsor a maximum of two Next Geners). This is a not-for-profit project being run by Radiodays Europe which will carry an administration fee for the organisation.
