EBU : European Radio needs and deserves an event like this
The EBU – the European Broadcasting Union – is backing Radiodays Europe. “European Radio needs and deserves an event like this”, says the Director of the EBU Radio Department, Raina Konstantinova.
“Radio is the most widespread, used and trusted medium in Europe. For more than a hundred years it has been an integral and dynamic part of human civilization. It offers an extraordinary experience for its audiences and represents an essential element in people’s lives. No other medium reaches so many people with such variety of content and uses. Radio provides information, knowledge and entertainment. It facilitates social integration and creates a sense of identity.”
“Today the numerous platforms of radio - linear and non-linear - could be used to involve its huge audiences in an interactive dialogue not only about its future, but also about creating a media environment which will serve people and societies better.”
